Diego's sonorous, gravel-toned voice is at ease with various styles and sub-genres within Clave-based music including Son, Tango and Afro-Caribbean.

The singer seemed destined for Flamenco fame at a young age. Raised in a family of Flamenco musicians, Diego would drop all other activities when he heard the familiar music of the popular folk dance. Heeding its call and performing with local dancers and musicians, Diego developed his earthy and emotive voice in the very streets where Flamenco was born.
