Def Leppard killed it last night in dallas Texas !!!! Amazing show . Journey was ok but left a lot to Be desired. We need Steve back for sure! The sound was cut before show ended ! But they couldn’t bet Def Leppard performance if they wanted to !

Def Leppard killed it...Journey not so much

Def Leppard’s performance was like a fine wine...getting better with time. Journey’s performance on the other hand reminded me of a cheap wine cooler that you had to settle for because everything else was grabbed out of the cooler already. DL had the house rocking as loud as I have ever heard. Everybody enjoying the experience together... then Journey took the stage...very disappointing to say the least. The guitar was so overpowering, not to mention every other song was a force fed 10 minute guitar solo. The problem is not the lead singer in this group (Arnel does decent, but says “F-it” when he sings Faithfully with abnormally long pronounciation of the time honored lyrics we are all use to). The problem is the huge ego of Neil the lead guitarist...no wonder Steve left the band. Just as soon as we would start getting into the song... here comes another ear bleeding guitar solo, ruining the flow of the set.

Def Leppard's show better than Journey

Def Leppard was great - Journey not so much. They might as well change the name of the band to the Neal Schon Band. Overbearing guitar drowning out Arnel on every song then not one but two Neal Schon solos, talk about ego... As of two guitar solos were not enough, there was a Jonathan Cain solo on piano and also a Steve Smith drum solo. The crowd was obviously not interested in these, as each time there was solo, there was a mad dash to the concourse. Def Leppard kept the concert from being a bid dud. I don't know if they switch the order in which they play from city to city, but Journey should play first and let Def Leppard close the show. I rated the overall show a 5 solely on Def Leppard's performance.

Five Stars for Def Leppard, Journey barely registered.

First time to see both bands. Def Leppard opened and raised the bar way high and Journey never came close. joe from Def Leppard was sounding great and the band was tight. It was well choreographed and entertaining. Journey on the other hand was like seeing the Neal Schon solo show and a his supporting cast. The music was decent and chock full of the hits everyone knows, but Neal's look at me act ran old really quick. It fell flat in my book. The AAC was a good site. Had seats on the first row of the upper deck and the sight lines were just right.

They All Brought The Goods: Steve Miller, Journey, and Def Leppard

On an extremely hot night at Fenway Park, Steve Miller, Journey, and Def Leppard were all fantastic. Unlike previous shows reviewed, all three acts had great sound boards and mixers. Steve struggled a little with his voice at times, but he's almost 80 so I give him a pass. His band was awesome. I was surprised to see mostly bad reviews of Journey in their recent shows, but they were on point tonight, with Arnel hitting all of the high notes, excellent sound throughout, and an enjoyable mix of Neil's (still amazing) guitar solos. They played all of the hits, the crowd sung along, and was very enthusiastic. Any Way You Want It was the pinnacle of the show for me. Def Leppard blew the doors off the park! Highlights included Rock of Ages, Armageddon It, Bringin' On the Heartache, and Photograph. Joe Elliot noted in the middle of their set that he had been fighting a respiratory virus for the past 30 hours and almost cancelled the show, but he was in fine voice and carried on like a champ. He had fantastic backing by his two stellar guitarists Phil Collen and Vivian Campbell, and Rick Allen was clearly having a great time pounding out the beats with his (one) arm and feet! The mostly acoustic set in the middle of the show seemed to be the place for Joe to regain his voice, which he succeeded in doing. He thanked the crowd for being "special." It was a great night!

Steve Miller and Def Leppard: spectacular: great sound, great interactions with audience.great musical show voice and instrumentally wonderful. Journey: huge disappointment. Everything was turned up to a loudest of loud, too many guitar solos no one wanted to hear. Band and equalizers up so loud it was extremely difficult to even understand the screaming *new lead singer Arnel Pineda. He had a punky awful, trying to hard to be popular stage presence that didn’t work at all. We heard great things about him and it was just awful. I don’t know if he was having an off night, as we had never heard him before, but bring Steve Perry back! Totally understand why Steve wouldn’t want to be around the self indulgent over playing of the guitar solos…annoying. Just sing the songs! And it was embarassingly awful. We left after a few songs because we were afraid our ear drums were going to be damaged between the loud volume of everything on stage and the atrocious singing, I mean yelling .
