I was so happy to hear this beautiful Pearl Fishers. The cast and chorus were were outstanding and moved me to tears, in a good way. The staging could have been more dynamic, though...

Loved the music and sets were outstanding! The chorus not so much. No traditional costumes and make up were distracting. It was hard to imaging the soccer mom with the blond bob and her friends were from Sri Lanka. They looked like a Carnival cruise beach party. I could picture the volleyball net just off set. Maybe it was a society evolved from a cruise ship wreck?
