Why See Wilco?
Star Wars Tour
Since forming in 1994, Wilco have amassed one of the most respected catalogues in modern American rock. With songwriter Jeff tweedy at the forefront, the band have comfortably dabbled in Americana, folk and even electronica over the course of their eight studio albums. Yankee Hotel Foxtrot is considered their greatest achievement, a 2002 record that leads off with the classic I Am Trying to Break Your Heart, and is often ranked alongside KID A as one of the defining albums of the 00s. The groups' latest effort was 2015's Star Wars, which the band self-produced and released for free.
Tweedy is also currently touring with his eponymous band (which includes his son) promoting their debut record Sukierae. He's still committed to Wilco though (at least for the time being), who are playing Pavilion at the Music Factory in Irving, TX, Closed October 3, 2017.
Performance date: 3 October 2017
